Dr Bronner's Launches First Food Product in the UK

Dr bronner PR.jpg

Dr Bronner's, North America’s number one selling natural soap and bodycare brand and a global trailblazer when it comes to green beauty and sustainability, launches its very first food product into the UK market. The Fair Trade & Organic Virgin Coconut Oil is fresh-pressed, unrefined and made with the whole kernel of the coconut to further increase its health benefits, as well as offering a delicious, nuttier flavour.

Directly supplied from Dr. Bronner’s own coconut plantation, Serendipol in Sri Lanka, this versatile and healthy Virgin Coconut Oil can be used for stir-frying, soups, sauces, baking, desserts and body care. Whole kernel oil, which is made from the coconut kernel with the inside skin left on is more nutritious – it is higher in antioxidants, minerals and vitamins,  making it even better for high-heat cooking.

Just as Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Liquid Soaps have been hailed by many as the ultimate natural multi-tasker, Dr. Bronner’s Fair Trade & Organic Virgin Coconut Oil is ideal for any number of tasks. As well as being the perfect healthy cooking product for health nuts, vegans and vegetarians, Dr. Bronner’s Organic Virgin Coconut Oil makes an intensely nourishing product for moisturising the skin and hair.

Dr. Bronner’s is a brand dedicated to using the most sustainable farming methods and creating products that are completely natural, organic, fair trade and healthy. Dr. Bronner’s Organic Virgin Coconut Oil is crafted at Serendipol Ltd, a farm in Sri Lanka’s coconut triangle that was founded by Dr. Bronner’s to ensure that all of the brand’s major raw ingredients are produced from the most fair trade of practices. Serindipol has become the world’s foremost producer of organic and fair trade coconut oil with over 160 workers enjoying great living and working conditions, proving that business can be socially responsible and environmentally sustainable.

Design revamp for iconic sugar-free PLj brand

PLJ bottles.jpg

As the new sugar tax comes into effect - Iconic British drinks brand PLj celebrates its original sugar-free status with the re-branding of its popular lemon & lime cordial drinks, first launched in 1950’s.

While many drinks brands have had to adapt their formula’s or increase prices due to the new sugar tax (launching April, 2018); naturally sharp PLj natural cordials, which are rich in vitamin C and have no artificial colourings, flavourings or sweeteners - stand the test of time as THE original sugar-free, soft drinks option.

PLj Lemon Juice found acclaim in the 1960s, primarily as an aid to a calorie-controlled diet, which perhaps is one of the reasons for its continued demand - as a growing number of consumers seek out an increasing range of healthy lifestyle products.  Its popularity rests not only as its heritage as a slimming aid, but also on its diverse number of uses in cooking, household cleaning and even body cleansing.

A 25ml serving of PLj Lemon and Lime juice is just 8 cals and offers at least 75% RDA of vitamin C; which the European Food Safety Authority agrees helps to maintain normal function of an energy-yielding metabolism, nervous system and immune system, whilst also helping in the reduction of tiredness and fatigue

Further anecdotal evidence of drinking lemon & lime water also suggests many other health-giving qualities, from improved skin health through to maintaining a healthy digestive tract.  Drinking lemon & lime juice in water also helps complement a healthy eating plan by supporting the maintenance of a nutritional sufficiency and a healthy digestive system, whilst encouraging us to keep hydrated – giving a fuller feeling and helping eliminate waste from the system.

What’s more, whilst lemon and limes are acidic before entering the body, they become alkaline once ingested, so can play a valuable role in addressing the effects of internal over-acidity.

PLj is proudly crafted in small batches and bottled in the UK by Healthy Food Brands, a division of the Healthy Sales Group. Tel: 01403 786460

Mumma Love Organics

Samantha Quinn is a Natural Baby Care Expert and a fully qualified award winning holistic therapist with years of experience teaching baby massage and natural baby care.

When Sam’s baby Ella was born prematurely, her nurse showed her ways to gently touch and stroke her to provide a more effective way of comforting her. These methods left her calmer and more contented.

Babies are born with defenceless immune systems, and as Sam learned more about natural baby care, the importance of what she was putting on her baby’s skin dawned on her. This realisation led to one conclusion: the safest and most effective products always contained organic and natural ingredients.

Over the last ten years, she has been an enthusiastic student and practitioner of baby aromatherapy, massage and nutrition.

This is how Mumma Love Organics was born. Sam wanted to share the successes she has had with her children and create a range of organic baby products to help mothers soothe and settle their babies naturally, for better sleep patterns and calmer more contented little ones.
